Case Background

A domestic energy storage integrator was originally using zinc-plated steel screws plus PC insulation washers to fasten LFP 280Ah × 16S1P battery modules in its 100 kWh - 1 MWh C&I storage cabinets. Three issues emerged: 1) high short-circuit risk from steel screws during thermal runaway, 2) insulation washers aging and requiring annual replacement, 3) 12g per screw × 32 screws per module complicating dense stacking.

Solution

FASTKING recommended an integrated pa66+30%GF black flame-retardant V-0 solution: glass fiber for mechanical strength, UL94 V-0 rating for module fire protection, and material's natural electrical insulation eliminating the separate washer. Paired with pa66 hex spacers for PCB support.

Results
